Blue River Motel

We paid $109 for one night, including our dog, and the room was huge. It had a separate bedroom, a full bathroom with a big tub, and plenty of clean towels. The kitchen was fully equipped with pots, pans, and everything needed to cook. After a long trip, we arrived at 8 am, and even though check-in was at 2 pm and we had no reservation, the lovely woman at the desk let us in early. We had an amazing stay for the price.

Clean, small room with a kitchenette, double bed, and shower stall, no tub. It was economical and worked well for one night, though I wouldn't choose it for a longer stay. The town has basic amenities.

The mountain views around the property were gorgeous, and I wish we'd been able to stay longer. What we called our “room” had two separate enclosed bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen and dining area, and a full bathroom. It's one of the best places I've stayed, and calling it a motel doesn't do it justice.

I went to use the laundry room and found that only two of the four washing machines worked. I put money into one, started it, then realized it wasn't working. I tried another, and that one didn't work either. I called the number and explained it to the woman who answered. She said she'd tell the person in charge, which was fine, but I was a truck driver parked at the truck stop, a 15-minute walk away, since the narrow streets aren't suitable for big trucks. I asked if she could find out how long it might take someone to come, so I wouldn't wait or make the walk for nothing. I guess calling me back with an answer was too much work for her.
