Microtel Inn & Suites By Wyndham Boisbriand

We found the hotel quiet and well located, and the room was clean and roomy. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and the included breakfast was decent, with a pleasant seating area, good coffee, and hot cocoa. Being able to open the window was nice. The shower was the odd part: its head points at a strange angle, so water can end up all over the floor. I didn’t take a photo, but you can see it in other reviews or on the website. The gym was nice, though the shallow pool seems more suited to kids than to much of a swim. A nice place overall.

Adrianna and Lelou were great with our kids. They kept them entertained and busy, which made things easier for us and helped ensure they weren’t bothering other guests. The Microtel Boisbriand was spotless and clearly well maintained, with everything feeling fresh and clean. We had a comfortable, family-friendly stay and would happily return.

The carpets had a smell, and the hotel itself felt pretty boring. Service and breakfast were okay, though, and the location is handy, close to lots of shopping.

We lost $200 per room when we canceled, and management refused to refund it. The pool was unusable for us because it was over-chlorinated, and none of the rooms had safes. The bigger problem was the smell: the whole hotel reeked of damp, sour carpet, and every room we saw had it. Management tried to mask it with deodorizer, which only made things worse. I’d avoid this place. There are much cheaper, cleaner, and nicer hotels nearby.
