The room itself had patchwork in several spots, and the signs, including one asking the hockey team to keep the noise down, looked roughly cut. It gave the place a motel feel. Front desk staff weren’t there all the time, so we had to wait quite a bit. They also changed the room price and tax after we arrived, then promised to refund the difference but never did.

We had to switch rooms because the bed in the first one was clearly broken. Staff confirmed the problem, then said we’d need to move. They offered a king bed, but that didn’t work for our group of four since we’d booked two beds. Later they called to say another room was available two floors up and brought us a key, but no one offered help or even a trolley for our things. We were there for a hockey tournament. At first they said our room wasn’t ready, then other people began checking in while we waited. Nobody let us know when we could check in. Really unimpressed.

The kids loved the stay, and breakfast had a superb range of hot and cold choices. Reena helped us check in, and the young guy in glasses in the breakfast area was very helpful too. I forgot to ask his name. We had an amazing stay.

The location is a little strange, next to the highway in an industrial area, so there isn’t much of a fun atmosphere nearby. Still, the service was nice, parking was free with plenty of spaces, and the hotel was clean, modern, and pleasant, though nothing fancy. Breakfast was fantastic, with lots of hot options. The gym and pool were both decent but small. I found it odd that the bathrooms had no fan. I’d stay here again.

The pool was green and unusable, and it looked more like a bath than a swimming pool. The hotel is also quite isolated from Brantford, which made finding food or things to do inconvenient. We came with a hockey team after a 1:00 pm game and couldn’t check in early, even though the parking lot was nearly empty. We had to wait until 3:00 pm with exhausted kids, then spent another 40 minutes checking in. We’d paid for two nights but are leaving early to stay elsewhere. This was a terrible stay at Towne Suites. The property seems poorly managed and needs new management. I wouldn’t recommend it to families or teams.
