Hotel Port Royal

Parking across the street was easy and cost $25 a night. Everything was clean and well kept, and the spacious room was lovely. We ate twice at the attached Louise restaurant and really enjoyed both meals. Dannik was a huge help when we called to book and again when we arrived, making sure we had what we needed for our young baby. We had a wonderful stay just before Christmas and would come back :)

The view was stunning, and our new room ended up being exceptional, well beyond what we expected. Nicolas helped us switch rooms when the first one didn’t suit us, even though he was swamped, and George gave outstanding service. The gentleman from housekeeping worked like a magician and got everything just right. The TV and radio felt dated, though, and casting or Bluetooth would be useful. An unforgettable Christmas stay. We’ll definitely return.

We spent three nights at Hotel Port-Royal and loved exploring Vieux-Québec and eating around the area. The hotel is in a great spot in the Old Port, and once we parked in its lot we could walk everywhere. We’d planned to go to Montmorency Falls, but with so few spaces in front of the hotel, we worried we’d lose our parking spot if we left and skipped the trip. Check-in was quick. Our second-floor room was clean, fresh, well equipped with a fridge and microwave, and had a very nice view. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. There was also a table and a practical kitchenette stocked with plates, glasses, and cutlery, though we ate out and didn’t use them. It seems especially convenient for families with young children.

Nicolas was very welcoming at check-in and helpful when we checked out. Parking in the lot right in front of Hotel Port Royal was convenient at $25 plus tax per night. We liked the mix of modern comfort and the warmth of the original architecture, with some old features preserved. The room was clean and spacious, with a handy kitchenette, and the location made it easy to reach the main attractions. One odd thing, the toilet was unusually tall, so you might need to improvise or bring a high stool, haha. We skipped breakfast and room service because there are so many cafés and restaurants nearby. We’d stay again.
