The river views were beautiful, especially Champlain Bridge lit up at night, and there's a bike path right by the water. The room was clean and comfortable, with a spacious, well-kept feel. Staff were friendly and helpful. The outdoor pool was nice, and parking and WiFi were free. It's about 10-15 minutes from downtown Montreal, a peaceful place with great views. I'd recommend it and come back.
The location along the river was really nice, and the staff were extremely pleasant. The service was better than I've had at higher-end hotels. We had a great stay and will return next year.
The worst service I've ever had at a hotel or motel. I booked a room with a double bed and one cot, but when we arrived they said they couldn't accommodate us and that Expedia had it wrong. We'd driven three hours. The front desk worker, Annie, was extremely rude and wouldn't let my daughter use the washroom while taking ages to try to find us two rooms. It was clear she didn't like her job. Other people who called or came in after us were also made to feel unwelcome. She said her system had crashed, but after we'd waited an hour for a refund and she still couldn't confirm a room, she tried to charge me a deposit. We were already late for our event, so I offered to leave my card number or cash, but she made no progress. EDIT: The owner thinks a refund from the very rude receptionist makes everything okay, even though I was entitled to it. It's sad when a business owner won't take responsibility. You can see it in their responses to other reviews. Avoid this place.
I stayed in one of Motel du Fleuve's long-term apartments and had a great experience. The room was modern, spacious, and very clean, and I felt safe both in the room and on site. Staff were super friendly and responsive. The owner answered and dealt with my questions and requests right away, in French or English. Everything was included, which made moving in, moving out, or extending my stay easy: WiFi, furniture and appliances, A/C, electricity and utilities, parking, and more. The outdoor pool was well maintained and easy to use in summer. The river views are beautiful, with a walking and biking path alongside the water. It's a seven-minute drive to groceries and shopping on South Shore, and about 15 minutes by car or Uber to downtown Montreal. Highly recommend.
The rooms are clean, and my partner and I always book one with a kitchenette. It feels like a mini apartment, and the prices are amazing. Great location off the point, Champlain. We'll stay again.
