The back entrance regularly smells like old garbage, which makes the surroundings unpleasant for residents and guests. For a building that presents itself as upscale, I found the cleanliness and management standards far below expectations. The move-in process was stressful and unprofessional from the start. The property manager was rude and dismissive, and communicating with her was difficult instead of making the process smooth and welcoming. Based on my experience, I wouldn't recommend this place.

I've lived here for about two years, and Alura has been one of the better managed condominiums in downtown Calgary in my experience. The concierge and property manager are phenomenal, and the building is well maintained with very few maintenance issues. It really feels like home. And those lovely views of Calgary Tower and the landscaped downtown? I'll let the pictures speak! 🙂

There isn't a concierge on site, so you have to call a WhatsApp number and hope someone picks up. Before check-in, GLOBALSTAY property management sends a five-page document of instructions and addresses, and expects guests to clean the suite for the next person. They also hold your damage deposit for 14 days. I stayed last week and still hadn't been refunded when I wrote this. They call the property pet friendly, but at $1000 a night, that's some expensive pet friendly. Alura is managed by GLOBALSTAY property management, and I'd avoid them at all costs.

The building was clean and attractive, and the location was great. The concierge was helpful and friendly. Even the underground parking was tidy and well lit.

Cleaning staff are around almost every day, taking care of the lobby, elevators, and other areas. The elevators are really fast compared with other buildings. Waseem is very friendly too. A very good building to live in, and I'd definitely recommend it.
