Cynthia, Illu's Director, went out of her way to make sure I had a good stay and was incredibly accommodating. I was there for a month recently, after nearly 15 years of working out of Cambridge Bay and staying in lots of different places. Most never felt much like home, but Illu B&B did. It was comfortable and well maintained, with thoughtful touches that made returning at the end of the day a delight. There’s a great kitchen space for making meals, and the shared rooms are cozy and welcoming for socializing. My bedroom had its own bathroom and mini-fridge, so I still had plenty of privacy. I highly recommend it and will stay there again.

Cynthia, the owner, is super nice and great to deal with. I always choose the Illu when I’m in Cambridge Bay. It’s near the northern store and hospital, with a vehicle rental shop right next door. The rooms are clean, the internet is great considering the location, and each has a private washroom. There are plenty of breakfast supplies and coffee, including a Keurig and milk frother for lattes. The walk around deck is a nice spot for views of the ocean and the rest of town.

The house is bright, clean, and has all the comforts of home. I had excellent hospitality during my business trip, and I’ll definitely book illu B&B when I come back to finish my work at the new CHARS research lab.

Cynthia is a delight, and she runs a lovely self service B&B. The facility is clean, comfortable, and close to all the important things in town. I’d certainly stay again if our travels take us back to Cambridge Bay.

The pantry was stocked with food, and having access to a proper kitchen made me really happy. It was my first time up north, and I was genuinely surprised by how quickly I felt at home. The whole stay was comfy. A definite five stars.
