The rooms were clean and comfortable, and everyone slept well in the updated room. The kids had fun in the small pool, parking was easy, and checkout was quick. The highway location also puts plenty of shops and restaurants within a short drive. A lot of the stay was just okay, though. Most staff were fine, but one person on Saturday night was rude and condescending, and we didn’t feel welcome. The TV was broken, water was dripping from condensation on the window, the bathroom fan didn’t work, and the water pressure was weak. Breakfast was a letdown for the price. The kids’ meal was $10.95 each, and eggs and bacon came to almost $20 per person, for basic cereal, toast, oatmeal, waffles, and tiny pastries. The waffle batter ran out; when I asked for more, the cook complained to the server, and after waiting 20 minutes we left. I wouldn’t come back.

The room itself was pleasant and the beds were comfortable, but the bathroom door squeaked badly. Renovations were underway, and none of the ice machines worked. There was no notice about that. Breakfast was awful: the eggs had almost no taste, the bacon was tough, and the fruit bowl had only melon. It happened to be free for us, thankfully, because I’d have been very upset paying $20 per person. For what the hotel costs, this was a mediocre stay.

Eric took care of everything we needed in the private room we booked, and he was so helpful and courteous. You don’t see that kind of customer service every day. We had a great stay at the Sheraton in Cambridge and would highly recommend it if you’re nearby.

I loved the wall behind the TV, which had carpet-like wallpaper to dampen the sound and vibration. It was a really unusual touch, and I was also happy to see the Heathrow frame since I’m into planes. The Samsung TV was great too, and I could pair my phone with it. Our newly renovated room was clean and nice, though there was a brown metal hair clip under the desk when we arrived. The shower head plate and handle plate didn’t seem to be attached to the tile. I’d stay again.

The room was fine for one night, with a decent smart TV, though the doors creaked. The rest of the hotel felt badly managed, especially with the renovation work going on. The room information listed ice machines on floors 2, 4, and 6. Floor 4’s machine room wasn’t marked and was full of construction supplies. A sign on floor 2 sent us to floor 6, but that room was also full of supplies, with no warning or lock. A kind staff member noticed my mom carrying a bucket and filled it from an ice machine in a staff-only room. Our breakfast vouchers didn’t cover what they had promised, since renovations meant only a continental breakfast was available, with no made-to-order dishes. It was free for us, but gratuity wasn’t included. A server we hadn’t spoken to brought a bill, even though the three servers had mostly ignored us, chatting or using their phones. I felt bad not tipping, but the only person I wanted to tip was the woman checking the food, cleaning, and changing carafes, and we didn’t get a chance to do that. The breakfast was awful anyway: watery, tasteless scrambled eggs, tough bacon, and a poor selection. They were charging $20 per person for it, even though the menu listed a “Canadian breakfast” with eggs your way, bacon, and toast for $16. A diner or fast food place would cost about the same and be much better. Only one elevator was running, and it was painfully slow. It also took us down to the lobby when we were trying to go from floor 4 to floor 6, so we had to ride back up from there. Later, I tried to take the stairs from the lobby to floor 5, but security said they had “closed it for the night.” I’d used those stairs earlier while searching for ice, so I don’t understand why guests couldn’t use them from the lobby.
