Le Capitole Hôtel

The walk from the reception office to the rooms takes about five minutes, even while pregnant, and along the way you see local artwork and views of Quebec City. We stayed in the Citadine Room with a king bed and balcony, and it was phenomenal. The view was spectacular, and the balcony was a lovely bonus for some fresh air. This was our baby moon, and the staff took such care of us. They called before check-in to make sure everything was up to date and left a lovely gesture for our baby. It exceeded our expectations, and we had a lovely stay.

We arrived on Feb 13th and leave today, the 15th, after celebrating Valentines Day and experiencing Carnaval. The location is hard to beat, the modern rooms are very nice, the beds are comfortable, and the service was impeccable. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Il Teatro was amazing for both breakfast and dinner, and we appreciated little touches like the Valentines note and chocolates left on the bed. We’d definitely stay here again on another trip to Quebec.

We held a two-day meeting here and were impressed by the service. The rooms are beautifully appointed, the bed is comfortable, and the location just outside the old city wall is ideal. Nearby are the tourist sights, and in winter the skating rink is across the street. The holiday lights and wreath made for such a warm welcome. A beautiful boutique hotel!

Our corner suite looked out toward the Laurentian mountains, Charlevoix, and the St. Lawrence, with the iconic Château Frontenac and old town visible from the balcony. The hotel is just outside the ramparts of Old Québec, and both the service and property felt five-star. We had excellent breakfast and lunch, and there’s a cozy hideaway balcony on the sixth floor where you can enjoy a cocktail and treats from the swanky bar. This was our favourite hotel stay in 2025. We’d love to return. A bientôt.
