For a short stay, it was fine: very clean, as advertised for a 3-star hotel, with friendly staff and a convenient location. The discount at the nearby Normandin restaurant was a nice extra. We could hear the people next door very loudly, though, and the place needs renovations. The bathroom decor is dated, and its ventilation doesn’t seem to work well. After showers, the ceiling got soaked and dripped. The old, poorly insulated window built up a lot of condensation and left the bed beside it very cold. A few nights were acceptable, but updates would make it much more comfortable.

I was only expecting a place to sleep, since I don’t spend the day in a 3-star hotel. At $150 a night, I can’t ask for much, and at least the bed was comfortable. But the windows need replacing: they let in loads of water and cold air, so the room was really cold. Moldy water dripping from the ceiling wasn’t great either. The walls did a terrible job of blocking noise, and I could hear everything next door. Thank goodness I brought earplugs!

The rooms have hardwood floors, which I loved, instead of carpet. Old Quebec is only about ten minutes away by car, and it’s easier to leave your car at the hotel and take a taxi, Uber, or Lyft.

The room was comfortable and quiet, and the staff were friendly. The decor is a little dated and could use a refresh, but there are lots of restaurants nearby and the location is great. A bonus was the free, all-you-can-drink coffee beside reception.

The front desk folks were really helpful, and the location was fantastic, with so many great things just around the corner. I loved staying here!
