The room was clean, though very small, and the bathroom was tiny. It also had that old, musty hotel smell. There are good restaurants nearby, but I didn’t try the restaurant on site. I wouldn’t return. What really disappointed me was being charged for an extra night I’d called to cancel a week before arriving. I hadn’t read the policy they emailed me, and apparently I’d agreed to a non-refundable booking. I thought hotels usually allow cancellations up to 24-48 hours ahead, so a week seemed like reasonable notice. I asked the agents not to charge me because I felt it was unfair, but they wouldn’t budge. It feels crooked to pay for a service I didn’t use. A heads up to future guests: read everything on the website before booking. It says non-refundable, and they’ll still charge you if you book and then have to cancel. This was the first time this had happened to me. Lesson learned, I’ll read everything before booking a room now.

I’ve been coming here for thalassothérapie since 1990, and for me the value is in the whole package: a week of healthy living and excellent treatments. I don’t understand why more people don’t see it that way. If you’re only looking for a hotel, there are plenty of other options.

We stayed August 21st to the 23rd, 2023, and brought another couple along. They weren’t impressed with their room either, and none of the four of us plans to return. It’s definitely not what it used to be. The rooms look like they haven’t been upgraded in decades. Our first room, #41, was clean but had an extremely strong tobacco smell. We’d already been told it was their last room, so we stayed the night. I reported the smell the next morning while moving to another room, something that had been arranged before we arrived. In room #44, the brown chair had several white stains. I showed reception a picture, and they agreed it was very dirty. That was the only room available. My wife and I checked the bedding closely, and it was okay. At checkout I asked what they would do about the two rooms. They said they’d checked #41 and found no tobacco smell. They apologized for the cleanliness issue in #44 and said they’d taken note, but there was no rebate on the full price of either room. My friend also got a massage, then asked for a receipt for his insurance company. He was told they couldn’t provide one because the masseuse wasn’t licensed. Wow. I strongly recommend staying elsewhere. There are plenty of decent hotels and motels in the area.

The staff were quite unpleasant. The beds were rock hard and uncomfortable, and the room and bathroom were tiny. The TV was small too, and there was almost nowhere to plug in my phone.
