The cabins by the water have a beautiful view, but they're run down and dirty. The property manager was rude, and his attitude toward women seemed stuck in the 1950s. All the "houses" are across Highway 35. With the traffic volume and vehicle speeds on this major north-south route, crossing feels dangerous. Just last weekend, an elderly couple renting the nearby house were almost hit by vehicles three times because they couldn't cross quickly enough. Even more disturbing, guests in the main buildings were being illegally evicted from their long-term rentals, and in several cases forced to live in tents and vehicles. One guest showed me around the complex, including appalling conditions: broken steps, uncut grass, filthy hallways, and animal feces everywhere, inside and out. I'd avoid this place at all costs.

We love this place, and this was our second visit. Once a year I take my boys on a fishing trip here. The view is amazing morning, day or night, and the cabins are heated, which is great on colder nights. It's close to a main road, but that doesn't bother me. The staff are friendly and helpful. We had a successful trip too, catching a 4.5 lb pike from shore! I do wish the boat launch were paved. It's gravel, so you need a 4x4 to launch. Still, we'll definitely return for another fishing trip. Thanks to all the staff who keep things running, keep up the great work and see you soon.

Cabin 2 suited up to six people, with two bedrooms, and the website photos were a good reflection of what to expect. Julia and her family were great hosts. Her mom was especially friendly and gave us ideas for places to visit in the area. They keep the property and beach in good shape, and had cleared stones from the beach to make it safer for kids. They also offer things for rent. I'd recommend this place without hesitation and will definitely visit again. Too bad I didn't catch any fish!

The quiet mornings were especially memorable, with gentle waves, a hot coffee on the porch or beach, and the lake reflecting orange shades in the sky. The water was so inviting that we couldn't resist swimming later on. We left with peaceful, relaxing memories of time together with family and friends. We stayed over the August 2024 long weekend at Twin lake Resort in the town of Mindan. Our two units, #41 and 43, were about 100 yards from the serene lake with crisp, clean water. Each had three bedrooms and two full bathrooms, with reasonable space for three couples. The kitchens had modern amenities in good working condition. There's lots for kids to do in Mindon, including go-karting, Riverboarding walk, canoeing and mini golf. Best of all was trying the many varieties of Kawathra ice cream. Prices were very reasonable for the size of the units.

We arrived Friday to find no internet or TV. I called the new owners and they referred me to the contact numbers in the cabin, and told me to call Pravin. I called and texted, but got no answer. On Saturday, still without TV or internet, I texted again and was told Bell would repair it later that day. It wasn't fixed. I texted the next day and got no reply. It felt like they didn't care. The barbecue was rusted and didn't work properly. The kitchen in our two-bedroom cottage, which sleeps six, had only two forks, and the cooking pans were in atrocious condition. The bathroom mirror had huge black spots, and the beds were very old and uncomfortable. The grass isn't cut, the main dock is missing its umbrellas, and the beach isn't maintained, with weeds and rocks. This used to be a beautiful place, but since the new owners took over, it's gone downhill. I've been coming for years and loved it, but I will never return. Absolutely wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Such a shame, they ruined paradise.
