We'd happily come back. The staff were warm and went out of their way to help, and our room was clean and well arranged. We especially liked the large two-person tub and our private balcony with its own spiral staircase. Breakfast was tasty, with great service, and the lobby stayed open overnight for lattes and cappuccinos. The harbor, shops, and pubs are just a couple of blocks away.

We spent three nights here, and this Inn was the highlight of our two weeks in the Atlantic region. It has a lovely, postcard-like look on a charming street, just a minute's walk from Historic Downtown Charlottetown. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, and the place had a wonderfully authentic feel. We were the only guests for a while, so we got to look around the other beautiful rooms too. The same company owns the Inns on the block, and the grounds are spacious, with a pergola and fire pit in the courtyard. Guests from all the Inns can have breakfast in the Hillhurst Inn dining room. There were a few choices and a changing daily feature, so we looked forward to it each morning. In the front book in room, there’s hot water for tea, cold filtered water, and a coffee machine that makes espresso, lattes, regular coffee, and cappuccinos. We loved our stay and the people who run the place.

Charlottetown and the rest of PEI were easy to explore from this Inn, and the island is lovely. Our Sydney bedroom was spotless, with a huge tub and double shower. The beds are very comfortable, though a little high, and the rooms are individually furnished to suit the building's heritage. We also enjoyed the cosy lounge and dining area, with plenty of complimentary tea and coffee. Breakfasts were great. I especially recommend the superfood smoothie bowl, beautifully served and full of berries. The staff were friendly and very helpful.

The rooms are big, but the bathrooms are tiny, which seems typical of old B&Bs out east. Breakfast was fine, though there isn't much to it. One small dining room serves all the nearby properties, so people were waiting around 9 am. Get there early. Their coffee machine, though, is the best I've ever seen.

Mitch at the front desk gave us great sightseeing and food suggestions, and every one worked out. We enjoyed the whole stay, including the in-house brunch, and the downtown location was ideal. The service and comfort were 10 stars!
