Pomeroy Inn and Suites Chetwynd

On my first trip to Chetwynd, Sheryl made check-in welcoming and shared helpful ideas for places to visit. The next day, Jed at the front desk was just as pleasant and helpful, answered all my questions, and made sure I could use and enjoy the hotel amenities. They both made our stay feel smooth and welcoming. Excellent service.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and even lent me a wall charger for my phone. There was plenty of parking, which was handy with my larger vehicle, and I would stay again if the new maintenance person can get caught up on the repairs. In the bathroom, there were no hand towels or face cloths, and the shower curtain rod was loose and hung wrong, even though the room had just been serviced. They thanked me for mentioning it and said the previous maintenance person hadn't done a very good job, while the new one should be up to the task. The bedroom wallpaper was bubbling away from the wall, apparently from an old leak from an upper floor. Breakfast was mediocre, frozen food warmed in a toaster oven or microwave. It wasn't tasty, but it filled the gap.

The suite was cozy, with a comfortable bed, fireplace, and a kitchenette stocked with what we needed. Breakfast was amazing, and coffee was available in the roomy lobby all the time. There was also a computer spot where we could send correspondence. Even though it's an older hotel, it was immaculately clean, the service was excellent, and all the little extras were lovely. Bringing our dog along wasn't a problem. We'll stop here again when we're in the area.

Really comfortable rooms and friendly staff. It worked perfectly for a family trip with our two boys.
