Bluebird Motel

The owner at reception made arriving easy, even when we got there after office hours. She left a note on her office door, which felt so welcoming. The motel is right by the highway, with gas stations and restaurants within walking distance, and Waterton National Park is about an hour and a half away by car. My family had a great night here. We rented two rooms, spacious enough for our two families. They’re simple and a bit old, but clean and comfortable, with a working toilet and shower, charging outlets, air conditioning, a fridge, and a microwave. It’s a practical, reasonably priced place, and we’d definitely stay again.

It isn’t modern, and that suited me fine. The room had a kitchenette, guitars on the wall, and an old-fashioned retractable laundry line in the bathroom. It had what I needed, plus some themed rooms.

We had two separate bedrooms, and the room was clean, including the beds and towels. The kitchenette had a two-burner stove but no oven, plus a small fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and kettle. Management and staff were friendly. I’d definitely stay again.

The room was clean and had everything we needed for two nights. After driving past for years, we finally had a reason to stop, and we weren’t disappointed. It brought back the feel of an earlier time when people stayed in roadside motels, and the place has a real connection to its past. I can’t think of much to fault, and we’re already thinking of reasons to return.
