Travel Inn Cochrane

Hetal at the front desk was so accommodating and went beyond her job. The rooms are dated, but very clean, and the beds are comfortable. I had no problems during my stay and would come back if I’m in the area.

My room was quiet and comfortable, and the staff were so kind and accommodating. At check-in they offered a discount on the pet fee, which I appreciated since my dog is well behaved and doesn’t cause damage. When I asked about coffee in the office the next morning, they gave me a coffee maker and offered to refill my water bottle. There was a mismatch with my Booking reservation, which said breakfast was included in the final price. At check-in I was told breakfast wasn’t available. It would also be nice to have coffee or tea makers in each room and a water fountain or refill station. Since this is a pet-friendly motel right by the highway, an area for dogs would help too. There wasn’t anywhere nearby to walk mine.

Breakfast was stale muffins, a bagel, or toast, with no butter or spreads and no drinks besides coffee. The toiletries in the room were partly empty, and the place felt badly neglected. The parking lot was filthy with debris and litter, and as someone traveling with a dog I didn’t feel safe walking him there. The room was extremely dated, with a faded bedspread with cigarette burns, dents in the doors, scuffs and damaged walls, a water-stained ceiling, and a mattress with a blood stain. Avoid this inn.

The room was filthy and falling apart. The microwave was disgusting, the drapes were barely hanging on, the heater squeaked and screamed, and there were stains on the bed. The place was very outdated and not clean. The snow hadn’t been shoveled, so they expect you to climb over snow piles to reach your room. The kitchenette had no silverware, cups, or plates. The continental breakfast was practically nothing and nothing like the photos they posted. No fruit, yogurt, or cereal, just a choice of bagel, toast, or muffin. The muffins had been taken from a fridge and left uncovered. I didn’t eat. Definitely avoid if you can.
