We came for two nights to celebrate my husband's birthday and wished we'd booked longer. The room had a Nespresso machine, there's a coffee bar in the lobby, and the bed was comfortable. The pool and hot tub were great, and there were fresh-baked treats each afternoon. Just a warning, the oatmeal has RAISINS lol. Can't wait to come back.

My girls loved that both buildings had cookies and a 24-hour coffee machine in the lobby, such a thoughtful touch. We spent two nights at the Old House Hotel, and the service was great. The bathroom had a heated floor and enough hooks inside and outside. Sitting in the hot tub in the rain reminded us of relaxing in one after skiing in Whistler. Thank you 😊

We were a family of five in a two-bedroom suite and had plenty of room. The kitchen was so well equipped that we could find anything we needed. The rooms were spacious, and the bedding and towels felt like five-star quality. The front desk ladies were professional, sweet, and thoughtful, and made us feel at home. The complimentary coffee and cookies are the best in the world! I hadn't expected such a decent hotel in Courtenay. We love it and will come back in summer to spend more time here.

The outdoor heated pool and hot tub are a lovely bonus, and the lobby coffee and hot chocolate machine and cookies are a nice extra. It's also in a great central spot beside the river, with an easy-to-reach walking path. The rooms are probably better than others in the area, though I haven't stayed in every hotel, and they're top notch for comfort and in-room amenities. Service has always been great. One small possible issue: the reservation line seemed to be out of country, though I could be wrong. There were strong indicators, and the person didn't know much about the area or room details beyond the script. The reservation line was still good overall. This has been my go-to place in the Comox Valley since my first stay. Great hotel!

I paid $200 for one night and wasn't satisfied. I was away for a special weekend with my 17-year-old grandson Kaine, who has Down syndrome and isn't hard of hearing. Neither am I. The TV volume was set to 25 and wouldn't go any higher, so after our swim and hot tub we couldn't relax and hear the TV. It was extremely annoying. The front desk couldn't help because there were no maintenance staff on over the weekend.
