Skimmerhorn Inn

The room smelled really bad, and the highway noise was loud because of where the place is. There was no one in the office when we arrived, so we had to wait for someone to come check us in. We also had to pay an extra $30 for our pet, even though the website said the price was for pet-friendly rooms. Sound carried completely between rooms. We stopped late in the night to break up our drive and rest, but I was kept awake all night by someone snoring in another room. It felt like a hostel, and it was way overpriced.

The building and rooms were clean and well maintained, and the rooms were nicely decorated. We enjoyed our one-night stay and would absolutely book again. The beds were very comfortable, though I would’ve liked more pillows. That’s just my preference.

We were very happy with this stay and would come back. The family room was spacious, clean, and well organized, with all the essentials for a trip and a nice-sized tub. There was a TV in both the living room and main bedroom. Stores, town, and a thrift store were close by.

There’s a horseshoe pit out back beside a covered barbecue area with picnic tables. A great second-hand store is across the street, though there isn’t much within walking distance. Town is only a two-minute drive away. The rooms were clean, a good price, and had comfortable beds. Service was amazing, second to none, and everyone was very friendly. I’d highly recommend this place.
