Jubilee Motor Inn

This is the first time I’ve ever rated a motel. The room was a pretty good size, comfortable, and the price was good. I felt at ease here, and it was great in every way.

No one was at the front desk when I needed help, and I was paying the same price as a room in the city. The room was freezing, dirty, and had no towels. On top of that, a smoke detector chirped all night. It also looked like the only smoke detector on the floor.

The beds were comfortable, and the heater worked well. We were here for one night for work, and the room was a decent size. It had a good-sized fridge, maybe the 3 cubic ft kind rather than the 1 cubic ft ones some places have, plus a microwave. The TV looked pretty modern, though I didn’t use it. It was fairly clean for an older hotel. My coworkers ate at the restaurant on site and really liked it. I don’t eat out much, but I did enjoy the vodka and orange juice ;) The pictures that looked good were from the restaurant. A good stay, and I’d come back if I was in the area.

The room was in the basement, and you could hear every movement from the person above us. I even knew whenever they got a text. The whole building smelled musty, like something was being used to cover it up. In our room, there was a hole in the bathroom ceiling, the shower head leaked the whole time, and the shower never dried out. There was literally feces on the toilet. Maybe the good reviews were from people in other rooms, or maybe our “pet friendly” room was the reason, but it was not clean at all. Thank goodness we only stayed one night. I wouldn’t recommend this place, even for a single night.
