Beachside by the Bay Waterfront Suites

We keep coming back to Beachside by the Bay, and Ian and Linda make every visit feel special. The suite is clean, modern, and has everything we need for a vacation. From the hot tub, the water view is the best I've ever had from one. You can see Nanaimo across the Straight, too. We'll be back again.

The views from the cozy, clean cottage were spectacular, and the location made it easy to drive into town or stroll to the pier. We went in early October for a weekend, and right when we arrived, more than 50 porpoises were jumping and swimming in front of the hot tub. That was when I knew it would be a special weekend. I'd visited the Sunshine Coast many times, but never like this. Beachside by the Bay feels like paradise at your back door. Thanks for everything, Ian and Linda. I'd recommend it to anyone.

The quiet was such a relief from big city noise. I loved walking down to the private beach in the morning, where I even saw a seal pop its head up. From our patio we could watch the sunsets, and the views were amazing. Ian showed us around when we arrived, and he and Linda were easy to reach if we needed anything. They also knew their way around town, which helped when we went shopping, and there are some delicious takeout places in Sechelt and Gibsons. I work in customer service, so I noticed how sincerely they cared about making our stay special. It was lovely meeting them and staying there. Before heading home, we checked out the upper cabin, which had a big, beautiful ocean view I'd never seen before. Thank you, Ian and Linda. 😊 Dena

That view alone would bring me back. The room was gorgeous and cozy, and the kitchen had what we needed for a few nights. It was easy to find, though not especially convenient to get around on foot. Being tucked away did make for a quiet, peaceful stay.
