The folks there were very nice to deal with, and the service was very good. Our room was immaculate, the beds were good, and the heat was already on when we arrived. There’s a great restaurant 400m away and a gas station right next door. For sledders, it’s close to fuel, food and OfSC trails. I highly recommend staying there.

For a budget overnight or a sled trip, I’d recommend it and would book again. The rooms and beds were unexpectedly clean and comfortable, though this isn’t a five-star motel. Downtown and restaurants are an easy walk, gas is next door, and it’s just off head lake with snowmobile trails close by. There’s no road running for sleds.

We had a lovely long weekend in this cute motel across from the water. Our room was 11, upstairs at the end, with two double beds and a little kitchen with a stove, fridge and sink. Everything was clean and comfortable. The manager was friendly, helpful and easy to talk to. There’s a small dock by the lake with a paddle boat guests can use. It’s about a 15-minute walk to the little “downtown” area, where there are bars, restaurants and stores. The town is cute, there are lots of lakes around to float on, and it has the places you need for a stay 😎 🚣♀️

We were hesitant after our Pinestone reservation was cancelled at the last minute for reasons beyond our control. My 10yo son and I had booked it while visiting town for a family wedding, hoping to use the indoor pool, and reluctantly chose Silver Maple Motel instead. We were only delighted with our stay and will absolutely come back when we need somewhere to stay in town. The new family managing the motel were extremely kind and helpful. My room and my mother’s next door were both tidy and very clean, and the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the lovely view from the balcony, and the refrigerator/freezer, stove/oven, kitchen sink, and plates in the cupboard made things easy. We liked the coffee too. Thanks, Silver Maple Motel team!
