Holiday Inn Express & Suites West Edmonton - Mall Area by IHG

We brought our two cats for three nights. The room had a king bed and a nice, large sofa, with plenty of space, and the underground parking was convenient. But it smelled a bit off, and stayed dark and gloomy even with the blinds open. The staff seemed rather cold and reluctant to give us extra coffee packets since the room hadn't been refreshed while we had the cats. One Tide pod and a dryer sheet cost us $3, which is ridiculous. We'd stay again, but a brighter room and less stinginess with the little things would make the stay more pleasant and memorable.

We stay here pretty often as a family, since it's easily the nicest place we've found for a good price. The staff are super friendly and we'd come back. I do wish they offered student deals for college students. Be careful when booking by phone: once, there was a mix-up with Holyday Inn, and I ended up paying for a room there because they picked up instead of Candlewood.

I spent three nights here and they cleaned my room every day. The staff were pleasant and courteous. The elevators are the only real downside, they don't work especially well.

We got in late after a very long drive, and Mohammad greeted us that evening. He quickly understood what we needed and upgraded us to a king suite without us expecting it. A thoughtful gesture, especially as this was our first stay. The room was spacious and very clean, with no fingerprints or dust on the microwave, tables, counters, bathroom, fridge, or other appliances. It didn't smell, and the hotel in general seemed clean and well maintained. A great find and a pleasant surprise. We'll bring the kids next time. Keep up the good work. Regards, Guests from 302
