The rooms were clean and comfortable, with two queen beds and all the amenities and utensils we needed. Staff were professional, and the front desk was friendly and accommodating whenever we had questions. Breakfast was good quality and offered a nice range of choices.

Bad weather meant I needed a night in the city, and this was conveniently close to finish shopping before leaving, so it was my first choice. The room was great, though the heater fan kept blowing and made it really dry. The pillows were so soft they gave me no support. Breakfast was okay, but it was busy, messy, and the line for food was fairly long. I’d still give the place another try if I needed to.

We were tired after a long drive and the price was so reasonable that we didn’t mention the cleaning problems to the front desk. The newer hotel’s suites are set up for longer stays, with a kitchen, fridge, dishwasher, cooktop, and pantry, and our beds were comfortable. The staff at reception seemed friendly, and I think they would have tried to help if we’d raised the issues. There were dried marks on the bathroom counter and brown water staining on the door, crumbs in the drawers, dust on the TV and side tables, and lots of bits on carpet areas that hadn’t been vacuumed. The bed skirts were very wrinkled and looked like they’d been put straight on without washing. Housekeeping seemed to be phoning it in. Our room right off Calgary Trail also got a lot of vehicle noise. The Bonvoy TV system was hard to use, had too many sports channels, and wouldn’t allow a Roku device or casting.

Michelle made our stay more enjoyable with her warm welcome and helpful attitude. She checked that we were comfortable in the room, kept us updated on what we needed to know, and explained the amenities clearly, especially the pool hours. She even offered complimentary water. Thanks to Michelle for such thoughtful customer service.
