Ramada Edmonton Hotel & Conference Centre

We used to stay here, usually with a large group booking two or three rooms for up to four days, two or three times a year. Since the continental breakfast stopped being offered, we don’t choose this hotel anymore. Now we only stay every couple of years, when we want to go to West Edmonton Mall. If you think continental breakfast costs too much, consider what you’re losing by no longer offering it. Food for thought.

This was my first and last stay. The bathroom tub backed up instead of draining, and there were used towels behind the door. The carpet was very dirty and old, with patches already coming off, so I was afraid to walk barefoot. The AC ran all night but didn’t cool the hot room. There was no microwave or refrigerator. A very bad experience at this 4th class hotel.

The room and hallways had an old, unpleasant smell, like an old house. I hope management deals with it, because that would make the stay much better. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, and the room cleaning and service were good.

We had to move rooms three times, carrying all our luggage ourselves because there was no cart available. Traveling with three children made the whole thing stressful and inconvenient. For the high nightly price, the service was unacceptable. At first we were put on the 15th floor, but there was no sofa bed, so we were told to move to the 14th. After moving our things and putting food in the fridge, I noticed there was no microwave. When I asked for one, we were told to move back to the 15th floor. This was our first stay, and it was extremely disappointing.
