Over the weekend, the hotel had three boys’ hockey teams and two girls’ volleyball teams staying there for a tournament, so I can imagine how chaotic it got for the staff. Even though kids can get carried away despite how we raise them, everyone we encountered from Friday to Sunday was kind. The breakfast, front desk, and cleaning staff greeted me with smiles and good mornings. I called for extra towels and a gentleman brought them within minutes. Our room was clean, the gym was adequate, and the pool was great. Thanks for your patience and wonderful service!

We stayed here two separate weekends, first while a family member was in hospital and then for their funeral. The staff were incredibly kind and gave us a great rate. On the first weekend, they let us check out a bit later, and during the funeral weekend they offered a small conference room twice so we could visit with family and friends who were also staying there. Lucil in the breakfast area deserves a special mention. She was thoughtful, polite, and kind, and kept everything stocked. I’d give the hotel more than five stars if I could.

The listing says whirlpool, but there wasn’t one, which was disappointing since my back was sore. I even have a picture of myself pointing to it. Also, kitchenette rooms could use a couple of paper plates and some plastic utensils. Just a thought. It wasn’t horrible overall.

We had the pool to ourselves, and the breakfast had plenty of good options. The rooms felt spacious, not boxy, and everything was neat and tidy. We had a good stay.

Everything in town, including the hotel, was conveniently located for our two-night visit. Check-in was quick and easy, and the room was a decent size. The TV was the big surprise: I could sign into my Google account and install my apps, so I was watching the F1 race on Sunday morning within minutes. That was fantastic, and I wish more hotels had a setup like that. At checkout, there was an easy option to wipe the apps, credentials, and accounts. I checked afterward and nothing was left behind. It’s a 3* hotel, but that TV alone earned it five stars from me.
