I stayed for seven days and had a great time. It’s clean, peaceful, and in a nice spot. The staff were helpful and made me feel welcome from the first day. I’d recommend it if you want a comfortable, well-run place to stay.

We booked a kitchen suite for three, but there was dinnerware for only two and no proper bedding for the pullout couch. The microwave didn’t work, and our room cards stopped working twice in just six hours. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Raquel at the front desk was wonderful. After a very long drive, we got into town around 1 a.m., and she gave us a late-night snack. Such great customer service. 👏

The front desk woman was publicly spreading hate about trans people online the day after Tumbler Ridge, while proudly listing her job at this hotel. I don’t think anyone with basic decency should support this business. What’s even more disturbing is that, although she no longer works there, Best Western Estevan hasn’t asked her to remove the business name from her profile. That makes it seem like Best Western either doesn’t care or supports hateful people spreading this rhetoric.

8/10
The breakfast was the weak spot for us. The attendant wasn’t very attentive, food often ran low or was gone, and service shut down about 15 minutes early on our second morning, so nothing was replenished. The juice also seemed watered down. With more attention to breakfast, this would be a truly excellent hotel. The room was a highlight: exceptionally clean, with reasonably comfortable beds and AC that worked perfectly. The small pool and hot tub are handy for families, since kids can swim while parents relax nearby and keep an eye on them. Check-in and check-out were easy thanks to a pleasant, welcoming front desk attendant. It was a good, quiet, comfortable stay in Estevan.
