Nomad Hotel and Suites

The room was clean, the staff were helpful and friendly, and the location worked well, with lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance. Parking got a bit busy at certain times because of the keg, but it was still decent overall.

The staff were friendly, but nearly everything else fell below standard. Water was leaking from the ceilings into a bucket in the hallway. My room had just enough body wash for one day, and there was no hand soap. The front desk didn’t have any to replace it, so I had to shower with shampoo. This was one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in.

Ann is so professional and helpful. I booked a few weeks ago, then came back after three weeks and she remembered me. The service was really good, and Helen, the cleaner, was helpful too. Thanks to both of them for answering all my questions with a smile. They’re a real credit to hospitality.

The TV barely worked. There was no channel guide, half the channels didn’t work, and it was too old to screen share or stream from my device. There’s no continental breakfast either. Reception said it was a grab and go bag, which turned out to be a brown bag with a plain bagel, one container of butter, and an apple. Not worth getting up for. The fitness center was a sad guest room with broken equipment. In the room, the door didn’t reach the floor, so hallway light and noise came straight through. The windows only had curtains, so light came in there too. Several times I thought a fight was starting in the hallway because guests and cleaners were yelling aggressively. I asked about checking in at 1 or 2 pm and waited for an answer that never came. I arrived at 2:30 pm and got in without a problem, then received an email at 9 pm saying early check in couldn’t be guaranteed, after I was already there. I wouldn’t return. Go stay at the Pomeroy.
