We slept in the truck instead of staying here on our work trip. The rooms were filthy and smelled bad, the bathrooms were disgusting, and I'm sure the stained sheets hadn't been changed. This is genuinely one of the worst motels we've ever stayed in. I don't believe these reviews can be real, especially with the owner openly responding to earlier reviews and disputing the cleanliness here. Do not stay here.

After a long day of travel, we walked in and were met with phenomenal customer service and a pleasant atmosphere. The motel was just right for our needs in a small town. Our room was clean and well stocked with everything we needed, and we had continental breakfast and coffee before hitting the road. It's near the town center, hiking trails and a local restaurant. There's also a pub next door where you can get an excellent meal.

The staff were friendly, but the room was so unclean that I was uncomfortable taking my shoes off. Old spills and crusty residue from previous guests made the kitchenette equipment unusable, and the inside of the fridge was horrible. I refused the room, drove down the road to the competition, and enjoyed my stay there.

The easy parking and great location made this a handy stop before heading into mid- Vancouver Island West coast. It's only steps from a bar and restaurant, and the staff were very friendly. Good value, too. Expect to meet some characters, with fewer rules and a homey, laid-back atmosphere.

For an excellent meal, you can easily walk to the pub next door. We had an amazing Thanksgiving weekend at the Ridgeview. Our room was simple but very clean, and our host and the caretaker of the Inn were incredibly kind and helpful. The gorgeous fall drive home was a lovely extra. Thank you Ridgeview!!!
