The Grafton Inn

The historic building has the charm you’d hope for in the quaint town of Grafton, with service like a five-star European hotel. The decor feels carefully chosen down to the details, and the atmosphere is wonderfully relaxing. Comfort, feel, and amenities are world class.

The rooms are very nice, which is why I’ve stayed here before, but the place can feel disorganized. There’s often no soap, and the coffee maker is out in the hallway, so you have to get dressed to make coffee, which can disturb other guests. The caffeine hours are hit and miss, sometimes open and sometimes not. Prices are very high and should be more realistic.

We had the entire downstairs to ourselves, with a huge backyard, a spacious living room, full kitchen, big tub, and king-size bed. The place was beautiful and clean, and close enough to walk to our Canada Day function and into town for pizza, a bakery, a liquor store, a gas station, or breakfast and brunch. The main drawback was that the giant tub had no shower, so we could only bathe. We don’t usually take baths, which made getting cleaned up awkward. It seemed pet-friendly too, with food and water bowls near the entrance. We definitely recommend it.

A lovely little inn just off the highway, and a good lower-cost option for a St Anne's Spa weekend. The room had thoughtful touches like coffee, cream, and toiletries that made it easy to relax. There was no wifi, but for us that wasn’t really a drawback since disconnecting can be nice sometimes.
