Courtyard Saskatoon Airport

It's the staff who have made the lasting impression on me. They're always friendly and courteous, and go out of their way to make the stay pleasant. The accommodation is clean and comfortable, too. I've never been disappointed staying at this Hotel.

At checkout during my latest stay, I brought up my concerns and the front desk asked what I wanted to have. Guests shouldn't have to explain the basics of Marriott Bonvoy elite benefits or guide staff through a professional response. There was no welcome gift or elite recognition, either. I've stayed at Courtyard hotels multiple times as a Platinum Elite member and have never received a room upgrade. It's always “we are fully booked” or “we will upgrade you next time.” Putting me on a different floor doesn't count as an upgrade. These repeated experiences with inconsistent elite recognition at Courtyard properties have been very disappointing, and I'll probably avoid Courtyard hotels from now on.

The location is great, and the place is very clean and tidy. But those concrete mattresses are so uncomfortable that if someone offered me a bed while I was homeless, I'd probably turn it down. The sidewalk on Circle Drive might be easier to sleep on.

The rooms were clean, quiet and fairly new, and felt like decent value for the area. The airport is so close you can almost walk over. I'd stay here again for work near the airport.
