Grand Inn & Residence

We won't stay here again or recommend it. They call themselves pet friendly, but say they'll charge $250 if a pet has any kind of accident, even if you clean it up. Our cat left a hairball on the comforter and floor, and we wiped up what we could with a damp towel so the blanket and towel could go in the wash with bleach as usual. They said we'd ruined them with FECES and wouldn't listen when we explained it was a hairball. They also claimed we'd left cat litter everywhere, though it was just the normal amount tracked around the spot where the litter box was. How are we supposed to clean it without a vacuum or broom? They even treated the trace of litter on the floor as proof that the bed stain was feces, which makes no sense. We told them a lab test would show it wasn't feces, but they kept insisting it was. The repeated accusation was incredibly rude. We've never had trouble at another pet friendly hotel, even when our cat has had hairballs during a stay. There was already obvious damage inside the bathroom door from a dog that had stayed before, so it doesn't look like they use the $250 they take to make repairs. The bathroom sink tap gave no water, there were no paper towels, and the bedding trapped so much heat it was uncomfortable to sleep in during hot weather. They should change the policy and stop calling it pet friendly.
