The Casablanca Hotel

I booked this place for two days, and walking in, it looked stunning. The rooms felt more like motel rooms, but with so many high class hotels around, it was nice to have somewhere that felt comfortable. The small gym was awesome, with a bit of everything for anyone.

We came from Ohio, USA for the APA Canadian Poultry show on October 17, 18 and 19 2025. The grand staircase made a beautiful entrance, and there were great shops and food options all around the hotel. It was sad to hear they’d be tearing it down soon. Our room was hot, and even with the air turned all the way up it barely worked. I asked for a fan, but was told they were all already in use. It was also disappointing that the main dining room on the 8th floor was closed. Bogy's bar and grill had good food and drinks, but they weren’t ready for our large group, even though we’d talked to them about how many people were coming more than once.

We’ve stayed here twice now. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the restaurant was very clean and nice. On our last visit, Danielle at reception was so pleasant and checked us in quickly. This time the staff weren’t as nice. The older lady checking us in seemed in a bad mood, and they had no fan when we asked for one.

The Casablanca Hotel deserves all the credit from our family for rescuing a wedding at the last minute. On Friday night, the bride and groom found out the Grand Olympia had closed and there’d be no wedding the next day. They were devastated and didn’t know what to do. The groom’s parents were in town for the wedding and staying at The Casablanca Hotel. We saw the cascading staircase near the front entrance and spoke to Helen at the front desk. Within half an hour, the manager, events coordinator Jennifer, and the Chef were talking with the couple and doing everything they could to make the day happen. They were a Godsend. The couple got married on Saturday in a beautiful room with stained glass windows. Dinner was in the Grand Ballroom, and the chicken was the most tender I’d ever tasted. The reception was lovely, and the hotel went above and beyond with less than 24 hours’ notice. We’re lucky there are people like you in the world. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts.
