We slept comfortably in the bed and pillows, liked the cute room, the view was great, and parking was good. But we were very disappointed with our stay at Secrets Cottage, Noell. The deck was slippery enough that we nearly fell at least 4 times, and it should be pressure washed. The door window had no curtain for privacy. People upstairs were very loud with the TV and walking, and the neighbours next door snored so loudly all night that we couldn't sleep peacefully. The TV is so small that, at our age, we'd need it on our lap to see it. We only got 2 towels for a 3 day stay. The toilet paper felt like sandpaper, worse than paper I've used in 3rd world countries. The cutlery and dishes were disgusting, so we had to wash them before using them. There was nowhere to throw out garbage or recycling, not even a fruit basket for breakfast, and no professional receipt for the stay. Our time in Halfmoon Bay was very nice, but we wouldn't recommend the cottage.

It was inexpensive and very quiet, aside from a neighbour snoring one night. We spent 3 nights at the "cottages" in October, but they're actually basement suites in a home. Dogs are allowed, though ours couldn't stay in the suite when we were out. That would've been impossible in summer. The TV was tiny and didn't work, there was no soap in the shower, and the old hair dryer seemed like it might explode. The 90s decor, especially the bedding, could be changed pretty inexpensively.

A peaceful little retreat in the woods. The suite has a kitchenette, a deck with a small BBQ, and big windows looking out at the trees. The hostess, who lives upstairs, was very friendly. We'd love to come back!

Bright, cheerful, and comfortable, with a gorgeous view. I stayed for over a month and found it quiet and peaceful, with great spots for walking and hiking nearby. The owner was wonderful and very accommodating. Probably one of the best places to stay on the Sunshine Coast!

The place was quiet and tucked away, which I liked, and the owner kindly let us check in early. Still, it felt lacking compared with other places I've stayed. The solid glass door had no way to cover it for privacy, and there was no coffee or blow dryer.
