Garden South Park Inn

The room was fantastic. This was my second stay, and it surprised me both times. The overhead showerhead is great. Parking could use improvement, since there are only 7 spots and it's first come, first served. Customer service could be much better. I booked online and entered all the requested details, including payment information, but on arrival I had to fill everything out again, and they ignored my payment preference.

What stood out most at Garden South Park Inn was the kind, helpful service. Every staff member was friendly and happy to chat or offer recommendations. Our room was beautiful, the bed very comfortable, and the location worked well. We took an Uber to the waterfront for under $10 CAD and walked to Stillwell Beer Garden one evening. The breakfast was called continental, but felt more like continental plus: besides muffins, bagels, toast, and cereal, there were hard-boiled eggs, deli meat, cheese and crackers, yogurt, and fruit. The coffee was delicious too. Parking costs extra and isn't guaranteed. One night we found street parking for under $10 CAD, and the other night we used the lot for $15 CAD. It cost more, but we didn't need to add money to the app or move the car at a set time. We had an excellent stay in Halifax and would definitely recommend Garden South Park Inn.

Everything was just perfect, from the staff and room to the complimentary breakfast. I had an absolutely beautiful stay. I'll definitely tell my friends in Collingwood On that this is the place to stay if they're ever in Halifax. 😊

The old building looks nice from outside, and the people were friendly and provided good service. It was clean, but parking was limited. My room was small, with outdated, damaged furniture. I couldn't use the closet or dresser: the closet doors were stuck and the dresser drawers were falling apart. The bathroom floor and sink were cracked. We had to leave early, so we didn't eat breakfast. The furniture could be restored, but the work needs doing. For the price, it cost more than most Best Westerns. We chose it without checking reviews because we needed to get to the airport early. It was very disappointing.
