The Sutton Place Hotel Halifax

The room was beautifully decorated and clean, with a stunning view, a dream of a bathroom, and very comfortable beds. The hotel's in a great location, too. Ian helped sort out a last-minute room change for my second night, which I really appreciated. The in-room Alexa phone setup felt a bit technical for me and caused trouble with our supper order. I also wish the TVs had apps like Netflix. The Nespresso in the room was a nice treat, but there's no complimentary lobby coffee, so you have to buy a cup from chop steakhouse.

Everyone from the door man and front desk to the people at chop made us feel welcome. The front desk was friendly, helpful, and right on top of things. Stephanie at chop went above and beyond and treated us like kings, thank you for everything. And the red headed lady was saucy in a good way and super nice. We enjoyed every part of the place.

Bathrooms deserve a special mention, they were really well done, and the welcome throughout the stay was lovely. Chop serves all meals on site, though it's a traditional restaurant rather than a grab-and-go place. Coffee shops are a couple blocks away. The hotel is beside the Convention Centre, but getting there means walking outside for a few meters, as there's no bridge or tunnel. Still a great location and a very welcoming stay.

The 19th-floor room had excellent views through the full windows across the city. We used the valet service, and the staff at Chop were all smiling and gave great service. The steak was the most tender and tasty I've ever had. Keep up the great work.
