The location felt safe and convenient, and the price was very reasonable for what we got. Check the photos beforehand to see which suite is yours, since the two are close together. The house is quite tech-forward, with smart locks and automated features, so read the manual when you arrive. Once you do, everything's straightforward and convenient. Breakfast was continental style, with snacks, pastries, and light options, which suited us since we're not big breakfast people. A couple of doors had minor issues from previous guests, but once we figured them out, everything worked fine. Dami was extremely helpful and responsive whenever we had questions. We had a comfortable, affordable stay with responsive hosts and a modern vibe, and we'd stay again.

When we arrived, both the bedroom and bathroom doors were standing open, which immediately made us worry someone had entered the room before us. The bedding had hairs and stains on the sheets and pillowcases. I contacted the property and was told there should be clean bedding in the bathroom laundry area so I could change it myself. There were only towels there, no clean sheets or pillowcases. I called again and was told someone would come from Sackville to change the bedding. It was around 9:00 p.m., an unreasonable wait for a basic cleanliness problem. The listing said the bathroom was private, but it was actually on the stair landing outside the room. You have to leave the room and walk through a shared stair area to reach it, and there's no way to stop others from using it. That was misleading. The living room and kitchen were extremely cold, and the broken backyard door made us feel unsafe. We decided not to stay because of the hygiene, safety, and listing issues, and received no refund. The money isn't my main concern, but I want others to know what happened. We stayed at another hotel that same night, where normal hygiene, housekeeping, and management practices were followed. The contrast was very clear.

The place looks upscale in photos, but poor upkeep and management made our stay awful. We were charged $10 for a laundry load, a fee that appeared neither in the listing nor the price sheet. The issue was the lack of transparency, not the amount. Hygiene was a bigger concern. At check-in, containers were scattered on the floor, and there was visible dirt in the sink and toilet. A blood stain on the duvet made us question the cleanliness of the whole suite. The makeup remover wipes were left unsealed and exposed. Basic supplies also seemed poorly thought through: we were two guests staying two nights and got just one dental floss pick. The shower curtain was too small, so water splashed onto the floor whenever we showered. It's a lovely-looking space, but neglect and an irresponsible host ruined it for us. We won't return.

The location was the best part: a quiet neighbourhood within easy reach of lively bars and restaurants. The spacious rooms have potential, too. But the stay itself was deeply disappointing. The house felt worn down. Our bedroom door was broken, the front door seemed flimsy, a padlock secured the back door, and half the outlets were taped over. The coffee machine was broken, and empty packets and tools were left lying around. The roof terrace was covered in bird droppings, while four loud air conditioning units made it anything but peaceful. One room's air conditioning was broken in midsummer, despite reviews in 2024 describing the same problem. There was no separation between the toilet, shower, and rest of the room. Service was poor from the outset. No one helped us carry bags up several flights of stairs, and we got only a quick explanation of the facilities, without instructions for the shared spaces. The website hadn't made clear that two staff members lived there. Using the communal areas felt like intruding on their home and interrupting their calls or meals. Their dirty dishes stayed out the whole time. At checkout, we had no instructions and couldn't find anyone, so we left. Breakfast was another letdown. The house manual named Mindful Meals, but the breakfast wasn't from them. We texted our order as instructed, only to be told the menu was outdated and our choices weren't available. We tried it once, then skipped it for the rest of the stay. It seems like this place could be great, but it falls well short. We wouldn't recommend it.
