The rates were reasonable and breakfast was included. The bacon and potato cubes were good, the eggs and sausages okay, though the sausages could be improved. You can make waffles, have toast, or choose from several cereals. There was a good selection of drinks, including milk, apple juice, orange juice, grape juice, and, I think, water and iced tea. The coffee machine was out of order all five days I was there, which didn’t bother me since I don’t drink coffee.

I’d stayed at this hotel several times for work, but I won’t stay at Comfort Inn Suites again, and neither will my business. My reservation, made online weeks ahead, was cancelled without a conversation. They emailed at 7 AM saying my card had declined and that they’d cancel if I didn’t reply within an hour. The charge was attempted days after I booked, and my card was flagged for fraud. I replied right away to say I still wanted the room and that the card would work if they tried again. They never answered or contacted me, then cancelled the reservation. I didn’t know the card had declined until their email arrived. I would have appreciated a phone call or voicemail because it was time-sensitive. I don’t check email every day, and booking somewhere the day of after discovering a reservation made weeks earlier has vanished was extremely stressful. They also didn’t reply to my email to tell me the reservation I wanted was cancelled. I’d stayed there four days in the previous 30 days and expected them to call a returning customer. I felt they were trying to get more money for the room because I’d booked at a low promotional rate. I called Comfort Inn customer service and filed an official complaint. They said they would investigate the location for bad practices. This hotel is a scam. Do better by your guests and stop trying to scam them.

I’ve had two hours of sleep, at most. Light pours in from the hallway under the door, and the fan is incredibly loud with no way to switch it off. It’s -11C outside, so we need the heater. Now I have to drive two and a half hours with toddlers after barely sleeping. Fantastic.

I showed up after a long day to find that my reservation, made a few days earlier, had been cancelled because they couldn’t accept my credit card. I asked if I could pay by debit and leave a deposit, but they said they couldn’t accommodate that. Other hotels have never had a problem with my card or with taking a cash deposit. I went down the street to the sheradon, where my card worked without an issue. They said they would have accepted a cash deposit too if it hadn’t. That’s what hospitality looks like. Comfort Inn still hasn’t refunded me, and who knows how long that will take. Terrible service and hospitality.
