Super 8 Mt Hope Hamilton Intl Arpt ON

I was there for two work nights, and the whole place felt gross. The beds had stains all over them. I don’t think there were bed bugs, but I’m still going to run all my clothes through the dryer twice to be safe. The towels were meant to be white but had turned yellow and were really thin, the carpets were stained, and a coworker said there was mold in his shower. The rooms also felt almost humid, and the AC looked about 40 years old. There are no keycards, so the very nice ladies at the front desk have to unlock your door with a key every time you want to get in. No hot breakfast, a tiny gym, and a parking lot full of potholes. Don’t stay here.

We chose this place to be near the airport, but the room was disgusting. It reeked of smoke and awful body odor, and the sheets weren’t clean. The towels were stained yellow, and there were blood stains on the shower curtain. The Wi-Fi barely worked, and duct tape was holding the TV remote together. The keycard machine was broken, so we couldn’t get into our own room and had to ask the front desk staff each time. I would’ve left right away if my flight hadn’t been the next day. Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in.

The room was freezing, with tiny pillows about the size of throw cushions. The bottom sheet was beige instead of white, and the bedcover had cigarette burns. Stale smoke smell, like it had been sitting there for three years. The curtains didn’t fully cover the ground floor sliding doors that opened onto the parking lot. There wasn’t even a cup in the bathroom for rinsing after brushing my teeth. The TV remote stopped working as soon as I turned on the TV, probably the batteries. No Wi-Fi password, barely any cell signal, and no room card because the reader was broken. I called the front desk three times on an extremely staticy phone and got no answer. I’ve cancelled my Sunday night stay.

We were so tired when we arrived at 2am that we stayed, but otherwise we would’ve left. The floors had stains all over them and the furniture in the rooms was falling apart. We honestly didn’t even want to put our suitcases down. There’s no excuse for a hotel to be this gross, and I hate leaving bad reviews. This place needs a fire to burn it to the ground so maybe the insurance money can go toward building something nicer. Five stars if the rating went out of 100.
