Ramada Hinton

The breakfast starts at 6am and has lots to choose from: waffles, toast, oatmeal, beans, yogurt, cereal, fruit, drinks, and a rotating selection of eggs, meat, and potatoes. That was a real plus for travelling around Jasper, and the hotel's location is great, with grocery stores and restaurants within walking distance. The staff were friendly, accommodating, and nice. The rooms are a little dated but clean. We recommend staying here.

We were right beside the elevator and heard it dinging all night, so make sure you're not assigned a room next to it. At breakfast, which is included and served buffet style, they seemed to run out of bread items other than toast, so go early. There was kids' cereal, yogurt, eggs, tater tots, bacon, and more. The rooms were clean, and the place was decent overall, with easy access to Switzer Provincial Park for beautiful hikes.

The rooms aren't especially modern, stylish, or luxurious, but they were comfortable enough for a night on the road. I stayed at Ramada by Wyndham Hinton with my dog Alfie while driving to Edmonton. Being pet friendly made it a practical and convenient stop. One tip for future travellers: don't arrive too late without a plan for food. Nearby dining options get limited at night, so you might need to drive farther to find something or wait until morning. Not a luxury stay, but it worked well for a one-night stop.

The staff were amazing and helpful, the included breakfast was great and changed every morning, and the price was decent. It was also easy to get around town. The rooms were clean and well kept, and I really appreciated the AC in the summer heat, but I kept finding bugs in the bathroom every day. The pool area was my main complaint. Half of it was broken, and during our week-long stay it was only open on the first day. The shower was broken too, and we couldn't use the hot tub because that was broken as well. The staff were respectful and helpful throughout.
