The complimentary breakfast was a real highlight. It starts at 8:30 a.m. and includes bacon, scrambled eggs with chives, fruit salad, and Quebec specialties like pork pie and egg tart. Those dishes may not be exactly to a Chinese palate, but when you travel, trying local food is part of the fun. 🥳🥳🥳 This inn is on a quiet little island with a free ferry shuttle every half hour at peak times and hourly at other times, which gives it a hidden-paradise feel. Some people stayed for a whole week to enjoy the surroundings. The place has a cozy, family-style atmosphere, and the owner was wonderful and patient about explaining things since my English and French aren't very good. The only small drawback is the lack of a private bathroom. On the other hand, that means no unpleasant smells in the room.

We stayed one night as Michel's guests after coming from Baie Sainte Catherine. It's a lovely, quiet spot. The six spacious rooms are nicely decorated, and the three shared bathrooms and toilets were spotless and pleasant, though of course shared. Breakfast was homemade, fresh, delicious, and more than enough without feeling wasteful. Michel was a very welcoming host and gave us helpful tips for the next day, including hiking in the National Park de Jardin, which we also highly recommend.

Our room had a queen bed and a double, with clean bedding and towels provided. The room itself was simple but clean. There are seven rooms in the building, with a shared kitchen that guests can use, including the fridge and stove. The communal bathroom area has a sink outside three separate rooms: one with a toilet, shower, and sink; another with a toilet, bath, and sink; and a toilet-only room. I was surprised by how clean and well maintained they were. Breakfast was fresh and very good quality, served from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. We were two adults with children aged 5 and 8.

It's a big house divided into private rooms, with guests sharing the living room, kitchen, and bathrooms. Everything was clean, and the service was friendly. We enjoyed the free breakfast too. The mill and church are close by, so it's nice to explore on foot.

The island location and magnificent view were wonderful. The homemade breakfast was fabulous, and the owners created such a friendly atmosphere. 10 out of 10 from Lyne and Patrick.
