Cloudside Hotel

I worked with Cloudside to arrange rooms for professional partners visiting Nelson for an event hosted by my non-profit. Their staff kept in touch and made booking easy and accommodating, and all my guests were openly impressed with the choice. Prices are competitive with a standard hotel, and several clients said they’d choose Cloudside on future trips. The rooms are welcoming and high end, adding to the event’s executive feel. The boutique accommodation itself is special, with unique rooms, lots of natural light, and thoughtful design for mornings. Gorgeous landscaping and mature trees surround verandas off many rooms, and the ambient lighting by the private entrances made coming back at night feel safe and beautiful. I look forward to working with Cloudside again and would gladly recommend a stay.

The room was small and noisy, and the floor was very loud. The heating was hard to figure out, with the room sometimes cold and at other times too warm, and no one seemed to know exactly how it worked. On the good side, the hotel is very close to downtown, so it’s a fantastic spot if you want to walk instead of drive. The staff provided good service, and both the room and hotel were clean.

It was great being able to have a couple of drinks downtown and walk back without worrying about driving. So many stores and restaurants are within easy walking distance. Our room had its own entrance and an upstairs living room where we could relax. Downstairs there was a little kitchen equipped with everything you’d want for tea, coffee, or cooking. The two separate bedrooms worked perfectly for friends or family, one with two twin beds and a TV, the other with a queen bed and a TV. This little Cloudside Hotel gem made a lovely getaway. I really appreciated how clean everything was, including the walls, baseboards, and curtains. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

Cloudside Hotel was quiet even though it’s so close to everything, and that made for a really relaxing, special stay. The place is charming, comfortable, and clearly well cared for. The staff were warm, helpful, and genuinely friendly. We liked spending time on the back deck and in the lovely front gardens. The location couldn’t be better.
