Best Western Plus Baker Street Inn

You can walk to almost anything you might need from this hotel in the heart of Nelson, with shops and restaurants all around. The Whitewater shuttle stops right at the entrance, and there’s free parking across the street. Our room was immaculate and quiet, with a very comfortable bed, plenty of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion, and a nice hot shower. There’s a Keurig in the room, plus brewed coffee and cream in the lobby. The staff were friendly. Definitely recommend.

Nelson is hilly, with everything either at the bottom of a hill or up on one. The hotel was nice and not too busy, and someone was always at the front desk. There’s guest laundry, $3 to wash and $3 to dry. The lake and a strip mall with Walmart, pizza, a pharmacy, and other shops are about 20-30 minutes away on foot, or the same by car. It’s priced a little higher than many places, but I had a good experience and the location works well.

The attached restaurant, Marzano, was a highlight: excellent food and staff, with a beautiful interior that made the meal memorable. Guests can get a discounted breakfast coupon there, and it’s worth using. The hotel itself was one of the nicer places I’ve stayed, and I was very satisfied with my recent visit. If I’m back in Nelson, I’ll happily book at the Best Western Baker Street Inn.

The considerate service we received was amazing. Thank you so much Miriam, Blake, Yohaan and Kassandra (in the restaurant)! Our rooms were clean, well laid out, and had plenty of amenities. The location downtown suited us perfectly, with lots of restaurants, shops, and pubs nearby. Breakfasts were hearty and reasonably priced, and we appreciated the free parking. We highly recommend the Best Western Baker Street and will be back.
