The man at the front desk was very pleasant, and check-in was great. Housekeeping needs to step it up, though. The base of the toilet and the baseboards were caked with grime, there were yellow drips down the wall and door, and rubbing the tub left my finger covered in a white film. The shower walls clearly hadn’t been properly cleaned in a while. We were disappointed to find our room on the “other side” of the building, since not all rooms face the river. The website didn’t mention views of a busy road or the noise from being near the highway. Maybe I’d have rated the location better with a river view, but the highway view made it poor in my opinion. If you care about cleanliness and quiet, this isn’t the place. We should’ve chosen one of the cheaper options in town. It wasn’t especially expensive, but the stay wasn’t what I pictured from the website.

Breakfast had all the basics and a bit more, with a great view in the morning. The staff were warm, personable, accommodating, and helpful, 10 stars. The room was clean and updated, and it had a subtle door ajar alarm that gave me, as a Mamma of toddlers, incredible peace of mind. The pool and hot tub were good, and the pool was a great temperature. Rooms are accessed from outside, so in winter bring a hooded towel or housecoat if you plan to swim, or change after. We had to ask for towels each visit, but staff were incredibly helpful.

After a long drive, the pool and hot tub were just what we needed. Breakfast was delicious, and the views were absolutely beautiful. The rooms were clean, cozy, and nicely updated, and the hotel felt warm, welcoming, and comfortable. We loved our stay from start to finish. Highly recommend this place, it left a great impression.

The river view was nice, and it’s a great value. The continental breakfast includes eggs, sausage, juice, coffee, bagels, and more. It’s an old motel with good bones and renovated rooms. The pool and hot tub are great, if a bit dated.

The river and city view can be quite spectacular in the right weather, and access to the city is excellent. It’s clean, updated, beautiful, and well located, with friendly, helpful staff. The price is good value and includes a totally adequate breakfast. We’ll be back.
