The Vista Inn

My room was spotless, with a very comfortable bed and all the basics covered. The staff were friendly throughout, and breakfast was modest but convenient. I got the room at the far corner of the hotel, and the view was incredible. It has motel vibes with hotel quality. It looks like they renovated recently and did a great job. I’d easily recommend Vista Inn.

The check-in felt cold. The receptionist didn’t greet us with a smile or seem welcoming, and a warm first impression matters in hospitality. I hope management takes this feedback constructively. Reception staff and others in customer-facing roles should show courtesy, professionalism, and a welcoming attitude to every guest.

For the price, it was a very good stay. The newly renovated inn looks chic, and I was glad to see laminate flooring instead of carpet, which we all know can get gross.

The desk clerk told me they take $100 on the credit card because people steal things. He said it exactly that way, and I was aghast. My daughter had recommended this place, so my husband and I went there, but I never even saw the room or experienced any kindness or respect. We’re professional drivers and spend a sizeable amount on hotels every year. I’ll never darken the door of this place again.
