The front desk woman was lovely and arranged a late check-in for us. After that, things went downhill. The cleaner knocked on my door four separate times and woke me after an all-night drive. Then he tried to get the neighbor to clean up dog shit that wasn't theirs. That was disgusting behavior.

We went for lunch with my sister and five-year-old son, but the service was awful. Kristina had no patience or manners and put my drink down hard after the first one was messed up. We moved from the diner to the bar because things were so bad, then a server there told us we were being kicked out and our orders were canceled. We were confused, and my hungry little boy was upset. As we left, Sherri, who called herself the manager, followed us to the door yelling that she didn't need us as customers because the bar was full. She kept after us into the parking lot. I've never seen anything so unprofessional, and I won't go back.

They advertise a pool, but it's been closed for two years, and they don't mention it on the website, sign or Kenora magazine. The room wasn't cleaned for two days. It only got cleaned after I carried the garbage bag to the front desk, and I had to get my own towels and toilet paper because they were understaffed. At $150 a night, this is disgusting. Such a terrible stay in a beautiful town. I do not recommend it.

The check-in took ages, and the man at the desk was so busy with arrivals that they could have used another person to answer the phone. There were also lots of cigarette butts outside. Our room was dated but clean, the bed comfortable, and the A/C worked very well. The server was attentive and very apologetic, but the restaurant food was a disappointment. The hot turkey sandwich was too dry to eat, and both dishes came with cold mashed potatoes. The hot hamburger was partly raw; we sent both meals back, and although only one of us wanted theirs fixed, it came back hard as a puck and still inedible. We were told breakfast was included, but it wasn't, despite booking with Wyndham points. We also came expecting a pool, but the sign gave the wrong impression: it has apparently been closed for a while. Very disappointing.

The bed was comfortable, but the room was just okay for the high price. There aren't really any amenities, and the pool is closed. Breakfast isn't included either. We paid $30 for two breakfasts that were decent, but the two-egg special didn't include coffee, which was poor, and they charged $3 for it. Really?
