The Home Place Inn

The room was clean and sanitary, and I felt right at home during my three days at the Home Place Inn. The new owners were fantastic and very accommodating with my gluten-free dietary needs. I also loved the beautiful old Victorian style. The location worked perfectly, with restaurants nearby and plenty of places to walk and enjoy the sun.

The new owners, Beth and Andrew, were lovely, and Beth served three delicious home-cooked breakfasts during our three-night stay in the John Wilfred room. The Inn has plenty of historical character and quiet spots to enjoy both inside and out. Our room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and the ensuite washroom with its walk-in shower was just right for us. The location is close to Cavendish, Summerside, Thunder Cove, and lots of other places. I highly recommend this lovely B&B.

Greg and his family were fantastic hosts from the moment we arrived at the Home Place Inn. The charming old house has a unique history, and breakfast was great, with several options to choose from. Our room was spacious and clean, and the bathroom was spotless.

Greg was such a welcoming, generous, and cheerful host. I wish I could stay that upbeat whatever life has going on. We stayed at the Home Place Inn while travelling around PEI, and Greg and his family have given the place a lot of character. The rooms are named after the first owner’s children, and the decor throughout includes pictures and memorabilia about the original owners and builders from the 1800s. There’s a nice choice of hot breakfasts, and you get to pick yours from a list. The Inn is in a quiet part of town, a short walk from the Confederation trail and also close to shops and cafes. Highly recommend it!
