We came for a hockey tournament and the parking lot was awful. People kept slipping and falling, and another parent on our team was hurt in a fall. By Sunday the ice was so bad that vehicles were sliding into each other. Gravel had been put down, but after the thaw and freezing rain, the driveway was still horrendous. The ice was thick, and it didn't look like they had kept up with it. One man had to spread sand by his tires to get his truck moving. The lot serves hockey teams, out-of-town workers, and other guests, and my vehicle was damaged there. I feel the hotel should take some responsibility. We raised it with staff, who said the manager would call, but that never happened. When we followed up, the manager said they had done their diligence and weren't responsible for the lot. One woman hung up on us, and the manager didn't even know we'd complained. I'll be talking to a lawyer about recovering my vehicle damage costs. I'll also tell the parent who fell to file a complaint and speak with a lawyer.

The people working here are what make this hotel. My family and I checked in last May of 2025 and had lovely service from beginning to end. Everyone was friendly and easy to approach, and the manager was especially warm. I loved seeing employees smile, which you don't often get at other hotels. I'll always come back when my family visits Slave Lake.

I was working out of town for a week and used this hotel. When I checked out, I asked whether I would get the points for the week's stay. They said whoever pays for the room gets them. In 15 years of work travel through Alberta, BC, and Saskatchewan, I've never heard of that. The person staying should get the points, not the company paying for the nights. The breakfast room is also much too small.

Ruth, the General Manager, went above and beyond to make sure our family felt at home and had everything we needed. Thanks for making the trip memorable! Our rooms at Lakeview Inn Slave Lake were comfortable, clean, and just right for us, and the hospitality was warm and welcoming. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Slave Lake.

We had a good stay, but the breakfast area was far too small. With so little seating, guests shouldn't be able to sit over coffee and take up a table for hours. Housekeeping knocking on doors at 8:15 AM was also too early. The walls are paper thin, so we could hear staff banging on doors on our floor despite our Do Not Disturb sign. It woke us every day.
