I come to Slave Lake to fish, and this is now my fifth weekend staying here with my family. We're paying under $100 a night, with a free A&W breakfast combo, which is a much better deal for me than spending $120 on a room and around $300 before I even eat over the weekend. It's hard to find many decent hotels for less than $100 these days. I checked around before choosing, and the Highway Motor Inn is the second cheapest in town, miles ahead of that Lakeside. The renovated rooms are comparable to the Super 8. The new rooms are clean and cozy, and the staff are thoughtful and courteous. I definitely recommend it for the value. Tell the staff David Carr sent you and they'll sort you out right.
