I've stayed here several times, and it's been top notch each time. Jeff at the front desk especially goes out of his way. He's friendly, always smiling, and really makes the stay feel great. I highly recommend the hotel. Management, this guy deserves a raise!

Getting to work with a bag in each hand, I headed for the only elevator. A male housekeeping staff member saw me, got on when it opened, and pressed the buttons without waiting for me. I wasn't impressed that an employee took it while I was almost there. I'll book somewhere else in Slave Lake next time. The hotel felt run down, and both stairwell carpets were dirty and smelly. My room wasn't clean either, with grime on the coffee table and clumps of mud on the carpet. The hot tub was too cold, so I tried taking a bath, but the tub wouldn't hold water because the plug didn't work properly. The uncleared parking lot was a sheet of ice, unsafe to walk on, and cars were sliding around.

The dinner they served the night I was there was a lovely surprise. The chili and potatoes were fantastic, warm and hearty after a day out. I also found the staff welcoming, the atmosphere comfortable, and my room quiet and clean, so I got a restful night's sleep. A good place to stay while passing through Slave Lake, with friendly service and a meal worth mentioning.

Thanks so much to Sarah and the whole team. The charger and all the regular 120V outlets were a big help while I covered the 270 km to Edmonton in freezing weather at -12 degrees in my Tesla Model 3 SR. A five-star stay.

It was alright, but the bathroom hadn't been stocked. There was rust in the shower, and black spots along the top of the shower curtain.
