Elks Motel

We found the price reasonable for a summer weekend, and the staff were polite, funny, friendly, and efficient. Our room was fairly spacious, with a full kitchen and dining area. The rooms farther back from the road were fairly quiet.

Clean and good motel. The bed wasn’t the comfiest, but I slept okay. The toilet paper is thinner than paper, so I’d bring your own 😂

We needed a room at the last minute late at night, and they were willing to keep someone around to check us in after hours. That service was what we appreciated most. The room was good for the price, and we slept well. Excellent value. :)

Later that evening, after we’d gone out and come back, I found spider webs on the window and ceiling, a big black moth, dead flies on the window ledge, and bugs on the floor. When I told the same lady who had checked us in, she said, “this room doesn't get rent often so these thing happen” and that she’d see what they would do. At check-in she’d said she had just turned the A/C on in our room. I understand these things can happen when a room sits unused, but then it should be checked to make sure it’s free of webs and bugs.
